General Guidelines to Parents/Gardians

|
Punctuality
- Parents are expected to support and cooperate with the school authorities in enforcing
punctuality, regularity and discipline. Please see that your ward revises lesions
and does the homework regularly.
- Patents should take an active and helpful interests in activities of the school, as all activities are compulsory.
- All students are expected to join the school on the notified date at the beginning of the term or
after each vacation.
- Children will not be allowed to go home during school hours.
- You are requested not to make any social engagements or medical appointments during
working hours.
Communication
- Parents / guardians are requested to look into the school almanac of their ward daily and note the
homework and other instructions given.
- Remarks made in the almanac should be seen and countersigned by next day
as a proof that they have been read. Failure to do so may put your ward to great
embarrassment and inconvenience.
- Consult the school planner, date sheets and other circulars regularly.
- Please address all communication to the Principal through the class teacher.
- Clearly mention your child’s admission number, class and section in your communication.
- Please sign the progress report and return it to the school within three days.
- You can meet the Principal and teachers during the visiting hours mentioned on the next page.
- Please do not try to contact the Principal or teachers over the phone. Meeting
the Principal with prior appointment is appreciated.
- You are requested to regularly check the school portal to keep yourself update
about school activities.
- Please be sure to inform the school if there is any change in your address, designation or telephone number.
- Parents must first consult the school calendar, date sheets and other circulars before making enquiries over the
phone.
Responsibility
- The students must be responsible for their own belongings. The school is not responsible for this.
- Please ensure that your child does not bring any valuables articles e.g. mobile phones
expensive watches, transistors, electronic gadgets, cameras, calculators or jewellery to school.
- In case of loss of valuables, the school will try its best to trace the item but will not be responsible
for the loss.
- Please mark all the belongings of your ward with the name, admission number, class and section.
- As the medium of instruction in the school is English, children should be helped to follow their work
easily and intelligently by a certain amount of regular conversation in English at home.
- Awareness of current affairs through discussions at home goes a long way in building a base for good
general knowledge and discussion ability.
- Parents are requested not to collect their wards during school hours. In case of emergency the
parents should come in person or an authorized person whose photography is pasted in the almanac should
come along with the application and give a telephonic message to the concerned Incharge.
Consideration
- Parents are requested not to enter the classroom to see their ward. This can be a cause of disturbance and distraction to everyone.
- Please avoid criticizing the school or teacher in the presence of your child. This can result in the student losing respect for the teachers. Should you have any legitimate complaint, kindly see the Principal.
- You are requested to ensure that the birthday celebration of your ward is confined to his / her classmates only and that too on a modest scale.
- Our School is a polybag-free zone. All parents are requested not to send or bring any articles like tiffin, stationery, craft articles etc. to school in polybags.
